General Construction

General Construction

Beginning in 2007, GovSolutions ventured into the Design/Build arena for the Department of Veterans Affairs H.J. Heinz Facility, VA Cares in Pittsburgh, PA. We were a part of the design team for this construction project which exceeded $50 million. GovSolutions, Inc. is currently the Prime Contractor/GC for two concurrent construction projects; a Design/Build for new building construction in Virginia Beach, VA and the Department of Veterans Affairs Emergency Department renovations in Hampton, VA.

In 2013, GovSolutions, Inc. entered into a formal SBA approved Mentor/Protégé relationship with W. M. Jordan Company. W. M. Jordan Company (WMJ), headquartered near our home office, is recognized as one of the top contractors in the United States. As our Mentor, WMJ is truly committed to the principles of the SBA Mentor/Protégé program. To the benefit of GovSolutions, their contributions are prime examples of the impact a responsible Mentor can have on the development and success of a small, disadvantaged business. Our shared core philosophies of high ethical standards, aggressive safety compliance, commitment to community, superior employee recruitment, training and retention, focus on quality workmanship, and a sense of obligation to serve the needs of our military community culminate to ensure the needs and expectations of our clients are exceeded.

Our Mentor/Protégé agreement is not just a piece of paper. Our program has been built on a solid foundation of trust, cooperation, and openness developed over our time together. WMJ has provided guidance and support on multiple levels, yet has allowed GovSolutions the independence to learn and grow on its own. Our relationship was born out of an honest and open agreement between our firms to share and collaborate toward the success of GovSolutions. As a result of the Mentor-Protégé Agreement, WMJ has made significant contributions to the growth and development of GovSolutions.
